THE CIRCUMSTANCE
HNW Family, referred by an existing HNW client, with a stalled £3M+ GDV family home redevelopment project . The original design team had prematurely issued construction tenders without adequate building regulations or detailed technical specifications, exposing the project and client to serious liabilities, cost implications, legal, financial, and operational risk.
Mounting delays, spiralling professional fees, and general confusion had left the site vulnerable — with no clear route to resolution.
THE ENGAGEMENT
Appointed as full client agent and technical lead to recover control of the project and restore delivery momentum. Within days, performed a comprehensive technical review and taken decisive steps to de-risk the programme:
- Conducted a full technical and contractual audit
- Replaced all the original consultants and contractors, assembled and led a new team of trusted, capable professionals
- Re-tendered the project using fully compliant documentation to ensure clarity and legal protection
- Navigated a critical on-site materials failure (brick batch defect) with immediate effect directed liability and remedy solutions.
- Acted as the strategic liaison between the client, legal teams, insurers, and suppliers
- Prioritised site safety and psychological wellbeing during a high-pressure recovery phase

THE CIRCUMSTANCE
Sole and wide ranging responsibility for leading investment of a strategic acquisition, in partnership with a consortium of HNW investors and family office stakeholders: a key urban asset with land-locking positions of adjacent sites. The long-term creative vision was to influence regeneration of the wider context and unlock significant development added value, through policy engagement and public-private partnerships.
The asset has strong location potential, though investment required long-term retention, value uplift strategy of wider context, and the drive to influence local authority ambitions.
THE ENGAGEMENT
Entrepreneurial, commercial direction and Design lead, JV partner to funders, advisor, master planner, development manager, and stakeholder strategist: includes:
- Developing “meanwhile use” income streams during long-term land hold
- Originating, designing and leading an innovative masterplan exercise, adding substantial value to the site and location (projected GDV: £300M +)
- Partnering with the Local Authority development group and world-leading architectural practice to produce an “adopted” masterplan shaping local planning frameworks
- Facilitating consultee and stakeholder engagement, including public consultation and community involvement
- Supporting the process of refreshed Development Action Plans
- Played a key role in deploying a £20M Levelling Up Fund allocation to enable road realignment, infrastructure repositioning, environmental change, wider context development and pathways to investment for delivery.
- Working alongside Council leaders, senior politicians, Executive, policy makers, architects, engineers and PLC landowners to progress regeneration outcomes. This includes high-level advisory, communications, technical input, advisory and negotiation skills.
OUTCOMES AND STATUS
- The adopted masterplan has formally reshaped local plan policy, unlocking the planning gateway for a major mixed-use regeneration scheme
- The site is now positioned for delivery of a circa 30-storey tower, high-quality residential, hotel, hospitality, and publicly engaging spaces
- Investor-led strategy has resulted in widespread support across public and private sectors, leading to prospect of institutional funding to exit.
- The regeneration project has received media and civic recognition for the positive long-term economic and community impact
Project continues, acting as lead partner, guiding the project from strategic vision into detailed planning and delivery. The roles bridge private capital, public ambition and technical execution — enabling family office and HNW investors to move confidently from speculative investment to added value returns, growth and with wider metrics of public benefit-the ultimate win-win.

THE CIRCUMSTANCE
Existing high-net-worth owner-operator of a £50M+ turnover business required strategic advisory support. The client was considering a £2M capital investment in infrastructure to address persistent internal logistical inefficiencies.
Initial assumptions focused on facility upgrades, but the deeper business analysis found issues lay within leadership, operational workflows and structural misalignment.
This was a repeat client, with the confidence in services for previously unlocking complex problems for delivery of a development for a bespoke family home, and all the strategic design, contractual diligence and delivery.
